10/26/2007 - Denver, CO (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Colorado Avalanche defensemen Jordan Leopold will have to undergo wrist surgery, and will miss approximately two months, the team announced Friday.

Leopold suffered the injury during the third period of Colorado's 4-2 win over Edmonton on Tuesday. He has no goals and one assist on the season.

The 27-year-old Leopold, who signed a two-year deal earlier this year, played in just 15 games last season because of several injuries. He started the year on injured reserve after hernia surgery in the offseason. He also suffered a groin injury when he returned to action and missed the final 25 games of the season after fracturing his wrist.

Leopold had two goals and three assists last season in limited action due to the injuries.

Kurt Warner to start, Matt Leinart to watch

Despite the debate that's swirling , Kurt Warner will remain the starting quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals, coach Dennis Green said today. The Arizona Cardinals are the +7 point underdog at online sportsbook MySportsbook.com for this Sunday's game.

Green's comment came in a statement released by the team following an ESPN report that Green decided that rookie Matt Leinart would replace Warner as starter for Sunday's game at Atlanta.

"Generally talking about the starting lineup is not something we do," Green told the AP. "However, given the speculation that was out there we want to make it clear. We're disappointed after last week, but we still expect to be a playoff football team and we fully expect Kurt Warner to be the quarterback that leads us. That has not changed."
